For the harmonization between the national and the European standards, there has been founded the Romanian Technical Committee - TC 358 - Explosives for civil use - whose Presidency and Secretariat is held by INSEMEX Petrosani.

For meeting the requirements stated on the Directive 93/15/EEC, SECEMTI is an impartial body as part of INSEMEX, designated to carry out the certification of explosives, of the means of initiation and of the blasting techniques.

The assessments carried out by this certification body, INSEMEX - SECEMTI are taken over by the Technical Wirking Groups which are organized and operate in accordance with the ROF 04 - Operating regulations of the Technical Working Group.
