History of INCD INSEMEX The measure of publicly recognized success of a company is given by the sum of its acheavements. Looking from this perspective is quite evident that one of the most powerful institution that conducts research on occupational safety and health at work for a potentially explosive atmosphere and / or toxic is INSEMEX. INSEMEX was founded in 1949 as the "Mine Safety Research Station" (Mine Safety Testing Station ") as a subsidiary of ICEMIN Bucharest. Its establishment was prompted by the need to solve security problems in mining engineering in Romania. The name under which this institute is known both within the mining industry and in other industries (Machinery, electrical, chemical, oil, etc.) falls into the tradition that its staff their work for 60 years have created it, traditionally characterized by several fundamental characteristics: In choosing the location to town and took into account the importance of the Jiu Valley mining basin and many security problems posed by mining and the need to test tunnels housing mounted outside the city radius. "Mine Safety Research Station" worked its establishment as a subsidiary of Mining Research Institute of the Ministry of Mines until 1965.
